Use the mic Off means the mic is off everywhere and you type instead; the tutor works the same. Turning it on again asks nothing — you've read this.
Keep voice-journal recordings On by default, so you can play back how you said something. Transcripts are kept either way. Off stops new recordings; the ones already kept stay until you delete them — one at a time in the journal, or all at once here.
